Chief is very sweet and gentle. He loves children. He would be happy being petted all day long, he has such a beautiful mane/head-dress. He gets complimented all of the time and accepts the praises modestly. Sometimes people say he looks like a lion. Chief has a soft mouth and does not gulp his food like some. He is very reserved before he will try a new food. , He is small for a pyr - 75 pounds - his long "mane" makes him appear larger than he is. Chief has been on farms his whole life. He has been around cows, sheep, and goats. He has never been inside the house. He is learning to really enjoy car rides. This is something new. , I think it he would be a great pet or companion to a family or to a person. I could see him jumping in the truck to go to the coffee shop to be admired or surrounded by loving children.
